Heavy Patient Transport

An ambulance modified to transport the severely obese is called heavy patient transport. They have "bariatric stretchers" and specialized lifting equipment that can accommodate exceptionally huge patients, and they have extra-wide interiors. They are necessary due to the rising frequency of obesity in the general population.
